Just a friendly reminder ~ there are many great summer programs around our fair city and some of these won’t cost you more than the price of a Metro ticket.
Celebrating 25 years, the eclectic calendar at Grand Performances, includes a screening of 1917 classic Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.
A few blocks over in Pershing Square tune in for Friday Night Flicks through October – Gladiator under the stars anyone? The Square’s summer concert series is decidedly 80s, with A Flock of Seagulls, The Romantics, The English Beat and more. Get out the spandex! On second thought, maybe leave it in the closet?
Descanso Gardens has a wonderful line up of performances in the Camellia Lounge, don’t forget NELAart Second Saturdays and over in Atwater their version Movie Nights. Check out Pasadena’s Levitt Pavilion summer series and the LA County Arts Council‘s Free Concerts in Public Places series.
Most of these venues encourage picnics, many have refreshments for sale. Bring a blanket!
