Since 1993, Congressman Xavier Becerra has held an annual Student Art Competition open to all high school students who reside in his congressional district. Each work of art entered into the competition is judged by a panel of local artists and key stakeholders for the chance to be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year.

Artists who enter their work all receive special recognition and the chance to win:
• An all expense paid trip to Washington D.C.
• Artwork is displayed in the United States Capitol for one year
• Acknowledgement during a pre-game program at a Dodgers game
All high school students who live in California’s 31st Congressional District are eligible to participate in this year’s competition.
The deadline to submit artwork is Friday, February 25 at 5 p.m.
