My grandson has been asking about all the different celebrations that happen this time of year. Without going too ‘pagan’ on him we talked about how people have been coming together in the dark of winter for thousands of years to sing and celebrate and share love for life and each other and be warm! We observed that one thing all these different ways of celebrating have in common is light, lighting of candles, hanging lights. One of his favorite things to do (and mine!) this time of year is taking in all the lights on houses and around town. Enjoy and be warm!
