The Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council City Services Committee
will have a clean-up and re-planting day at the Arroyo Seco Library 6145
N Figueroa on Saturday Feb. 5, at 9:00 am.
On Monday Jan 31, 2011, Lynette Kampe, Executive Director of the
Theodore Paine Foundation for Wildflowers and Native Plants, will
conduct a walk-through of the library planting areas, and will have
recommendations for the plantings on Saturday.
Neighborhood Council Board members, community volunteers, and Franklin
High School students will all help with the work. Willie Nishizawa, the
original landscape architect for the library will join the restoration.
Any gardeners interested in revitalizing the library would be most
welcome.
