As in a certain teams uniform colors. Can’t forget the guacamole! This is a yummy recipe with a list of basic ingredients that you can improvise on to suit your tastes. Pass those chips!
PS – I was going to include a recipe for black eye peas but just couldn’t bring myself to do it. Plus I’ve never made black eye peas before.
- 4 ripe avocados
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 c. red onion OR 1/2 scallions, diced
- lime juice
- dash of garlic powder
- few shakes of hot sauce like Tobasco
- salt & pepper to taste
Mash avocados to chunky. The guacamole consistency will get smoother as you stir in the rest of the ingredients. Add juice from squeezed lime – I start with half a lime but usually add more. Add dash of garlic powder. Add diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro and onions, mix. Salt to taste. Add as much hot sauce as you like. Dip a chip and Enjoy!
