I visited the brand new Fresco Community Market on Tuesday.
Things are always looking for great marketing opportunities in the Northeast. We have our Highland Park Farmers Market and South Pasadena Farmers Market and 2 in Eagle Rock (check out Farmnet for the wheres and whens). We’re blessed with the fabulous Figueroa Produce Market and to add to the mix here comes the Fresco Community Market in the once tired shopping center on Monterey Rd. between Ave 60 and Via Marisol. When I dropped in yesterday I found a big bright space with everything displayed in such an appealing way that it even inspired me to cook. There’s a great deli case, a juice bar, an amazing bakery, pleasant sitting space for a latte and croissant, really extensive grocery offerings and even a sushi bar. What more could you want? This is their grand opening month so drop by and thank them for brightening the shopping center. While you’re there you can check out sweet little aki a small japanese eatery or Thai Fantasy which has been there for years and has a loyal following. And celebrate the new shopping options!
