L.A. artist Mike Saijo’s exhibit A Dream Differed borrows it’s title from the Langston Hughes poem. Open just until April 8th, this look at the intersection of the Mexican/Japanese/Jewish communities that make up the vibrant history of this East Side neighborhood is well worth the trip to the mid city gallery. It’s an interesting commentary of the notorious Zoot Suit and Sleepy Lagoon eras that rocked the are in the 1940s. Catch the show before it closes.
