Based on the number of Mt Washington, Highland Park and Eagle Rock people I see at the South Pasadena Farmer’s Market on Thursdays I think it is safe to include things in South Pasadena as local finds. And here’s a great one. Brand new bistro cafe at the corner of El Centro and Fremont, the Fiore Market Cafe’s charming host Bill and Ann bake all their own bread, make a revolving menu of wonderful bistro salads everyday and have a great selection of fresh salads and sandwiches on their black board for you to choose from. Great coffee, great tea, great ambiance. Terrific brunch and lunch spot with plans to expand to offer dinner later in the year so stay tuned. Absolutely worth a trip for the truly sumptuous home-made raisin bread and Kalamata olive bread, both the best I’ve ever tasted. Include a visit on your next trip to the farmer’s market.
