Heritage Square Museum’s 3rd Annual Old Time American Square Dance will be held on Saturday, September 1, beginning at 5 p.m. The Big Buck Breakdowners, an all start band, will play the fashionable fiddle and banjo tunes and call dances with vigor and zest. Before each new dance the steps will be taught to the audience. Beginners are encouraged; this is a family friendly dance, therefore kids of all ages are welcome too! Join us for a beautiful afternoon of community, festivity and music – honor your partner!
Don’t be shy-enter your fruit pie! This year’s event includes a fruit pie baking contest. Contestants can enter their freshly made fruit pie for 20 judges to taste. Each attendee desiring to be a judge will donate $1.00 and will be given a ballot and samples of each pie entered. Winner will be announced at the end of the event and receive a prize for their yummy creation. Heritage Square Museum’s Square Dance is Free for museum members and $5.00 for the general audience. Guests are encouraged to bring a small picnic, blankets, and smiles. Service dogs only, please.
