Remember books? The Cypress Park Library is doing a bit of spring cleaning and is holding a book-cd-dvd sale. Help support our public library and add to your collection.
“SPRING” into New Literary Adventures; Visit Used Book Sale at Cypress Park Library
Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m
As April ‘showers’ of hundreds of used and surplus books fill up storage spaces, the Friends of the Cypress Park Library will once again host a low-cost book sale of donated and withdrawn titles.
At this next regular book sale, the Friends group will again offer many hundreds of all types of used, near-new, and occasionally rare and out-of-print books. Proceeds are always used to improve the library’s service to local residents, and raise funds for the branch library’s kids and youth literacy programs, in the summer and year-round.
In addition, the sale offers some books-on tape and CD, movies (DVD and VHS), and even music CDs. All books will again be offered for sale to the public at bargain prices (most for less than $1). Donations of personal books are always welcomed.
Friends’ book sales take place in the library’s Community Room at 1150 Cypress Avenue (at Alice Street), in the Northeast Los Angeles neighborhood of Cypress Park. Contact (323) 224-0039 for general library information.
The Friends of the Library group plans and staffs fundraising and volunteer support activities for the library – including book sales, at least twice each a year. New members, and monetary donations, are always welcome. If interested, visit the book sale on April 21, and ask any book sale volunteer how to become involved.
