“The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” offers something not seen very often on the silver screen – a delightful, interesting, amusing, colorful, entertaining film with a cast where the average age is well over 50. This comedy, shot mostly in India is directed by John Madden of “Shakespere in Love” fame and starring a superb cast of British luminaries, Dame Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkenson, Bill Nightly and Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey) along with young Rav Pastel (who you’ll remember from “Slumdog Millionaire) and adapted by Ol Parker from the novel by Deborah Moggich. The engaging script actually has six story lines all breezing along simultaneously with nary a four letter word in sight.  What a refreshing movie going experience!  Time well spent.
