The Eagle Rockdale Community Garden is located on 1003 Rockdale Avenue in a residential neighborhood, just south of Shelby-Lanark Park. The garden is just one street west of Pasadena, near Figueroa Blvd at La Loma.
Eagle Rockdale is dedicated to organic food growing by local residents with approximately 45 individual garden plots,10 communal plots, a rainwater garden, California native garden, a COB oven, and several installations donated by local artists. One of Eagle Rock’s “hidden treasures,” the garden was founded in 2006 on a former right-of-way for the old LA Railway.
